Yana Bulantseva
Yana Bulantseva, an interdisciplinary artist and a graduate of the Stroganov Moscow State University of Arts and Industry (2009), works with various mediums such as acrylic painting and embroidery, with a special focus on glasswork. In 2016, she worked multiple times in glassblowing workshops on the island of Murano.
I have a strong focus on exploring different glass textures, predominantly in a monochromatic palette. My works have been showcased in various exhibitions, including the Moscow branch of the Union of Artists of Russia.
Yana believes it is important for each piece of her art to carry a certain ambiguity, allowing the viewer to feel a sense of involvement. She rejects the superfluous, as true beauty and harmony possess an autonomous meaning, separate from any imposed significance.
The changeability of nature, the shifting of seasons, and landscapes during travel—in her works, Yana seems to become a witness to this constant process of transformation, inviting us to notice the nuances and shades that nature generously reveals to those who are ready to observe.
